Eren

Terrible titles I'm choosing, I know xD  The english voice actor for Eren is coming down to Kawaii Kon, so I worked hard to get a pic of Eren out.  I struggled a lot on this one.  I couldn't decide on a pose, I didn't even know of what sort of background or head angle or anything.  I literally have 4 other files on my computer because I was trying to explore how to paint a picture of him that felt right, and nothing was really working.  Finally, I decided on playing with light and it just came together- I made an impromptu decision to making him stand in front of the wall, and cracks for interest and to prevent dead space.  Mostly monochromatic color scheme with the only bit of color is really his eyes.  

I thought this piece was just going to be an 8.5x11, but it really grew xD  I'm glad that it did, because I started feeling more comfortable as soon as I established that idea of light hitting the wall and him being in shadow.  It also made it easier when I started humming the opening song, man that thing is catchy xD  

Even though I hit my stride near the middle of painting it, I'm nervous though about it... I hope people like it cuz it was such a struggle to get it out...! >_<  So again, this is available as poster size!
